S&H Group, a well-established regional building and property services company is looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Operative to complete building maintenance and work projects on various sites across the northwest. The is a permanent position and excellent opportunity for a maintenance joiner, builder and other trades will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of a Multi Skilled Operative include, but are limited to:

• Fabric building maintenance i.e., joinery, plastering, roof repairs, painting, tiling, basic wet plumbing etc
• Liaison with FM and site managers
• Completing PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
• Assisting on small works and refurbishment projects
• Providing emergency repair services and all maintenance tests

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Multi Skilled Operative are:

• The role will be in building maintenance, and you will have a background in wither plumbing, joinery, or the building trade. A minimum of 3 years’ experience is essential
• Excellent customer services i.e., taking client through completed worked etc
• Articulate, driven, passionate and presentable
• Willing to learn/assist in basic plumbing and electrical duties (obviously not expected to wire/install/open or commission)
• Mobile application worksheets with good organisational skills
• Maintain health and safety standards
• Aware of all statuary requirements and H&S obligation
• An enhanced DBS check, if not already in place
• CSCS card and own basic range of hand and power tools would be a distinct advantage.
• Flexibility required to do Rota based call out/out of hours work dure to the nature of the job
